Sarah Pugh – MARAC Coordinator – Birmingham, Solihull and Coventry
Public Protection, West Midlands Police.
Sarah has worked in the domestic abuse and sexual violence field for over ten years, spanning both voluntary and statutory sectors, demonstrating her passion and commitment to safeguard victims and children. Sarah has completed her Postgraduate Master’s Degree with Worcester University in the Dynamics of Domestic Abuse, conducting research into the policing of Coercive and Controlling Behaviour. She is currently responsible for the coordination of MARAC across Birmingham, Coventry and Solihull, and an associate trainer with Safelives.
Emma-Louise Hodgson – CASS and MASH Education Team Manager
Education: Early Help and Safeguarding Team, Education & Skills Directorate, Birmingham City Council.
Emma-Louise Hodgson is the CASS and MASH Education Team Manager, part of Birmingham City Council’s Education : Early Help and Safeguarding Team and is their Domestic Abuse Lead. She was a primary school teacher for eighteen years, spending seven of those as Deputy Headteacher, DSL and SENDCo before joining BCC. She has a Master’s Degree in Education, with her research project and dissertation focusing on the effects of Domestic Abuse on children.
