With the introduction of statutory Relationships Education in primary schools, staff may have concerns over teaching the subject or want to develop strategies for ensuring their lessons are effective.
Half day or twilight sessions can address topics including:
• What schools have to cover and could cover in Relationships Education
• Using ground rules effectively
• Answering questions
• Working with parents
• Strategies for discussing sensitive issues
• Using resources effectively
• Talking about puberty
These sessions will be run by an RSE specialist working with you and your staff to secure your understanding of the expectations related to the new, statutory Relationships Education requirements that schools must follow. We can also raise awareness of how these important topics promote SMSC and are instrumental in preparing pupils for Life in Modern Britain.
