What’s So Special About Services For Education’s Teacher Training Program?

SFE is an accredited provider of initial teacher training (ITT) working with a partnership of primary schools across the West Midlands to offer on-the-job teacher training leading to qualified teacher status (QTS).

Successful trainees will gain Qualified Teacher Status which is required in England and Wales to work as a teacher of children in state schools under local authority control, and in special education schools. (Part time options available – contact us for details).

how do the course fees work?

Our Teacher Training course is provided via the School Direct fee-paying mechanism and fees have been set at £6,000 for 2019/20. Part time options available.

The cost of our course is lower than most others because we are a charitable business and therefore do not receive public funding. Find out about course fee funding through student loans here.

how do I apply?

You can apply via UCAS here.

Shortlisted applicants will take part in a two stage selection process comprising centre based panel interviews and presentations, and a classroom observation in one of the partnership schools.

am I a suitable candidate?

This is a post-graduate course so all applicants must have a UK degree at level 2.2 or above or equivalent (see UK Naric for comparison of non-UK degrees).

In addition all trainees must have passed GCSE Maths, English, and Science at grade C or above, and passed their numeracy and literacy skills tests before starting the course.
