Accessibility statement

This website is run by Services For Education. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

    • Change colours, contrast levels and fonts
    • Zoom in up to 300 per cent without the text spilling off the screen
    • Listen to most of the website using a screen reader
    • Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
    • Navigate most of the website using just a mouse and on-screen keyboard
    • Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software

We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

This website achieves a minimum accessibility rating of good using the Silktide reporting tool which measures WGAC 2.1 compliance.

This website is compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard.

Non accessible content

This website aims to meet the WGAC 2.1. AA standard as a minimum. We recognise that the following are not currently accessible:

    • Video subtitles
    • Some image elements do not have alt attributes
    • Some form elements do not have associated labels

Disproportionate burden

We do not believe that the cost required to fix these issues are a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We will review this decision as issues arise.

How we tested this website

We continuously monitor the website using Silktide, manual checks and browser extensions. The last full in-house test was in April 2023.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We are doing our best to try to fix any issues we find. We continually monitor the accessibility compliance of our site. We will continue to monitor accessibility using automated and manual checks.
