Two concerts to celebrate winter and Christmas cheer, are being organised by a Birmingham charity to highlight the skills and talent of the next generation of Birmingham musicians and singers.
The Annual Festive Concerts, held at the Ruddock Performing Arts Centre in Edgbaston and organised by the Music Service of Services For Education, will include a wide range of music including Prokofiev’s ‘Troika’, Freddie Mercury’s ‘We will rock you’, Purcell’s ‘Abdelazer Suite’ and Christmas favourites such as Leroy Anderson’s ‘Sleigh Ride’ and the traditional ‘Coventry Carol’.
Performers are all students at Birmingham schools following in the footsteps of thousands of Birmingham schoolchildren who have performed locally and nationally during the year.
The first concert is on Saturday, December 13 at 7 pm and the second on Sunday, December 14 at 6 pm. Tickets cost £10 to £15 for both evenings and are available from www.servicesforeducation.co.uk/festive-concerts-2025
