We are extremely excited to announce our first ever virtual music festival at Services For Education.
From Monday 13th July to Thursday 16th July, we filled your screens with as much musical content as possible as a fantastic celebration of our wonderful ensembles. We created a special portal with music content shared daily, and each evening, we hosted a separate musical event live – with performances (recorded) from our talented ensemble members.
LIVE EVENING EVENTS
From Monday 13th – Thursday 16th July we streamed our Virtual Youth Proms Festival which consisted of virtual ensembles and small group performances showcasing the work of the talented young musicians that are members of our Central Ensemble system.
The four evening concerts consisted of 30 new virtual performances created during lockdown and will last around 60 minutes per session. Charlotte Buxton, Head of Ensembles at Services For Education, hosted these events live.
We have been supported by the Musicians of the Royal Marines Band Service who opened each concert and then appeared on screen with our young musicians for six collaborative performances.
If you didn’t get an opportunity to watch live you can still sign up to each of the events to watch the recording, or if you want to watch again just follow the links to watch again.

Can You Support Services For Education?
Due to the current situation, we are, for obvious reasons, unable to continue business as usual at Services For Education, but we hope that the hard work our music teachers have put in recently to provide online music opportunities for both our ensemble members and school pupils shines through.
If you can spare the price of what would have been a Youth Proms concert ticket, it would make a huge difference to us and the children we support.
We love what we do, especially our musical ensembles for children, but we need your support to keep these going.
