Family Fun at Resorts world Birmingham
1. Free Fun Dino Fridays
From fossil workshops to meeting a T-Rex or Stegosaurus, Resorts World are hosting free dinosaur-themed activities every Friday between 25th July – 29th August – there will also be a Dino Hunt taking place from 10-4pm every Friday.
2. Animal Petting Zoo
Nature Burrow will be bringing their Petting Zoo to Resorts World, where they’ll be hosting a free drop-in session, taking place in Resorts World’s atrium on Mondays between 10am-11:30am.
3. Leisure time at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre
Boasting rides, a cinema, workshops and a LEGO themed play area, a day out at LEGOLAND Discovery centre is sure to keep your young ones entertained. Standard Play Session Tickets start from £20 per person – take a look at what’s inside the Discovery Centre here.
Mud Kitchens and Family Art Club at Birmingham Botanical Gardens
4. Mud Kitchen
Birmingham Botanical Gardens are hosting their Mud Kitchen in the Gardens between 19 July – 31 August, where children can use mud, water and natural materials to create ‘wild recipes and fantastic feasts’.
Located in the Community Garden, the Mud Kitchen is open between 10am-5pm and is free with gardens entry or membership.
5. Family Art Club
Taking place Every Wednesday from 23 July – 27 August, Birmingham Botanical gardens are offering the chance for families to create their own artwork to ‘celebrate our hard-working pollinator friends’.
The art club will take place in the Stretch Tent and is free with gardens entry or membership.

6. Creative Textiles Camp for Juniors
Open to those aged 6+ to 11, Midlands Arts Centre’s Creative Textiles Camp for Juniors ‘provides a fun and creative environment which will encourage children’s creativity and discovery exploring the medium of textiles.’
Prices start from £71.95, with classes taking place between 18th-19th August.
7. Robot Camp
Looking for something different? Then why not check out The MAC’s Robot Camp! From learning how to design and create 3D art forms, to junk modelling their own robots, The MAC’s Robot Camp is ‘designed to allow free thinking and imagination.’

8. Picnic in the Park
Looking to spend more time in nature? Boasting 80 acres of formal parks and two play areas, Cannon Hill Park is an ideal spot for a peaceful family walk or a laid-back picnic in beautiful surroundings.
