music

Teachers should always have access to high-quality and engaging Continuing Professional Development (CPD)/professional learning to enable them to become the best that they can be.

Each music hub in England is tasked with providing a community of support with a range of CPD/professional learning opportunities available.

At Services For Education we organise termly CPD for colleagues and specific ones for music subject leads to meet virtually to share ideas, current thinking and present action research around a particular topic or area of focus.

We also develop links with local universities and ITT providers to encourage trainee teachers to join this community early in their career development.

Please browse our Music CPD opportunities below.

For more than sixty years, The Music Service has worked in close partnerships with schools, enhancing and supporting music education for all pupils through CPD opportunities for teachers, music tuition and a range of other opportunities to really bring music to life in schools.

Our music team are highly experienced and have over 50 years of experience – our musical expertise has seen us work with 384 schools across Birmingham.

Through the Birmingham Music Education Partnership, of which we are the lead hub, we work with over 90% of schools in Birmingham in some form.

We have achieved more in this area than any other organisation.

You can find out more about what else we do for Birmingham schools here.

We are proud of all our musical resources and services and would like nothing more than to help you teach music more effectively. If you would like any more information about our CPD opportunities, please feel free to contact us here.
