Description

This session will be led by Robyn Murphy and Stuart Tonge, and will include:

  • Developing a bank of songs featuring actions, rhyme and repetition
  • Using music to support engagement, communication and participation
  • Practical ways to introduce and use tuned instruments
  • Exploring creative music-making and simple composition activities
  • Sharing adaptable strategies suitable for a range of SEND needs
  • Building staff confidence in leading musical activities
  • Ideas that can be used immediately in Special Schools and Resource Bases
  • Opportunities to collaborate, discuss and share effective practice with colleagues and to hear more about the opportunities available via the Birmingham Music Education Hub (BMEH).
