Participants will experience live demonstrations of specialist resources and gain ideas for supporting engagement, communication, independence, and creativity within classroom and teaching environments. The session is applicable to Special Schools and Resource Base settings.

Description

This session will be led by Robyn Murphy and Stuart Tonge, and participants will gain:

  • A demonstration of the ‘Count Me In’ resource within a live lesson and teaching environment
  • Opportunities to explore the Soundbeam and its use in inclusive music-making
  • Introduction to a range of iPad apps that support learning, engagement, and creativity
  • Exploration of music technology and accessible apps suitable for independent music-making
  • Practical ideas for integrating technology into music and sensory learning sessions
  • Resource sharing and discussion of effective classroom approaches
  • Information about opportunities, support, and resources available through the Birmingham Music Education Hub (BMEH)
