Description

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • Deepen your understanding of musicianship through more advanced aural, rhythmic and pitch-based activities.
  • Explore ways to develop progression in musicianship across year groups in the primary classroom.
  • Practice leading musical activities with increased confidence and fluency.
  • Reflect on your teaching approaches and adapt them to better support inclusive and engaging music lessons.
  • Extend your toolkit of resources and strategies for delivering high-quality, practical music lessons.

This session will be delivered by Claire Wilson – Music Lead at St Benedict’s Primary School, Emma Nott – Head Teacher at St Benedict’s Primary School and members of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire – Learning and Participation Team.
