Services For Education (SFE) SCITT closure

SFE SCITT will voluntarily cease to offer ITT provision at the end of the current academic year (2021-22). This is because we have chosen not to apply for accreditation from the academic year 2024 to 2025.

The Department for Education (DFE) and all appropriate partners and stakeholders have been informed of this decision, and we continue to work closely with the DFE to ensure all statutory duties have been acted upon.

SFE SCITT will continue to comply fully with the ITT criteria (link here) throughout the closure process and maintain high quality training provision for all our current teacher trainees.

We will ensure we identify an alternative provider for those trainees who have deferred or interrupted their training, have confirmed provision to continue and complete their programme within reasonable timescales.

We have made provision for ECTs (past and present) to request and obtain references for future employment. Please email:

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the wonderful schools we have had the privilege to work with over the past 10 years. Thanks to your commitment and expertise, we have, in partnership, been able to support and grow hundreds of incredible new teachers – many of whom still serve our city today.
