Contract Type: Permanent – Full-time or Part-time


Salary Range:  £21,420 pa to £27,508 pro rata.

All appointments are on a permanent, term time only, employed basis. FTE salary range £21,420 to £27,508 (part-time salary is pro rata, depending on hours worked) paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

OVERVIEW

Services For Education Music Service is based in Birmingham and serves approximately 450 schools with its portfolio in EYFS, primary, special, secondary and alternative setting work. We are seeking to recruit highly skilled and specialist Vocal/Classroom*, Guitar (classical & electric), Keyboard, Brass, Woodwind, Strings, Percussion and SEND** teachers with experience of working with children and young people across all settings. Experience of working in special schools is not a requirement, but would be beneficial to support our inclusive offer in school settings. We would like to hear from individuals with a passion for education and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Small Group/1:1 teaching (all ages up to 18)
  • Whole Class Instrumental Teaching
  • Ensemble direction (beginner through to advanced)
  • Experience of working with children with additional needs (mainstream and special schools)
  • Excellent knowledge of repertoire and examination system (beginner to advanced)

*We are looking to recruit vocal teachers with either an EYFS or primary classroom experience to work in our classroom music support (CMS) team. A teaching qualification is highly desirable for this type of provision.

** We are looking to recruit SEND teachers with experience of SLD/PMLD and those with additional needs. Experience of working in special schools is desirable.
