Join us for a dynamic CPD session designed specifically for secondary music teachers in Birmingham. Whether you’re new to the role or an experienced teacher, this session offers valuable insights and inspiration.

What to Expect:

  • Introduction to each Lead School for Music
  • Building a culture of music making in a secondary school – what makes an effective department?
  • How to develop and implement a subject vision for music
  • Developing partnerships with other organisations and establishing links with the Birmingham Music Education Hub (BMEH)
  • Open discussion and troubleshooting session – an opportunity to talk and collaborate with colleagues

This session will be led by Marie Lowndes-Ford – Director of Music at Lordswood Boys’ School, Chris Collet – Head of Music at Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls, Sarah Cobon – Subject Leader of Music at Nishkam High School and Jo King – Head of Music at Queensbridge School.
