Emotional health and wellbeing have never been a greater priority in our schools. Supporting our children with their emotions and mental health is an essential part of keeping children safe and schools have a duty to provide them with the knowledge and skills they need in order identify, regulate and understand their feelings.
It has been well-researched that children’s emotional health can have a significant impact on all areas of their lives, including their academic progress, their relationships with others and their physical health, therefore schools need to have a clear plan for supporting the children within their settings.
